Oil from the Chianti Classico area
The first producers of oil in the Chianti Classico zone tried to use the reputation of the existing brand name, which they had developed through wine production, to produce and sell an ail which was not of a high quality. Today however, this attitude has changed. The producers have gained expert knowledge, and they have started to produce very high quality oil.
The olive trees are alternated with vine plants, and are mainly grown on the higher hills. It’s really interesting to walk through the old wine routes, and to discover some true jewels of oil production.

- 11:00 Visit to the oil cellar at Buondonno farm with oil-tasting
- 13:00 Lunch at La Scuderia Restaurant in Badia a Passignano
- 15:30 Guided visit to Podere Tegline with oil-tasting
