Reggello: a plateau devoted to good olive oil
The highland area of Reggello has always been dedicated to the production of olive oil. Due in part to its exposure to the sun, and partly because of its elevated position and windy nature, it has always provided excellent results in the growing of olive trees, and in olive oil production. During our tour we would like to show you two completely different approaches: a small producer using organic methods, and a large commercial mill. Both of them offer very high quality olive oil.
The program:
- 9:00 Departure from your location by private Mercedes car or van and English-speaking driver
- 10:30 Visit to the oil cellar at Santa Tea, oil mill and oil-tasting
- 13:00 Lunch at the Archimede Restaurant n Pietrapiana with a special menu devoted to local olive oil
- 15:00 Guided visit to Fattoria degli Ulivi and oil-tasting
- 16:30 Visit to the Roman Abbey in Sant’Agata in Cancelli
- 18:30 Back to your location
